Inman Aligners

Would you like to correct your smile without wearing obvious metal braces for a long period of time?
Is there a good alternative which is more inconspicuous, comfortable and less time consuming than regular braces?
The answer is yes! Inman Aligners!

What are Inman Aligners?

The Inman Aligner uses a ‘pull and push’ mechanism to reposition teeth. It comprises of a coil spring on the ‘lingual’ side (inside) of the brace and a labial bar that reverses the same pressure from the outside. The two parts work together to "squeeze" the teeth together into alignment.

Types of Inman aligners

1. Inman Aligner Standard - The Inman Spring Aligner is designed for correcting deviations of the two arches. Lingual and labial coil components are used to correct anterior rotations and crowding.

2. Invisible Inman Aligner - This type of Inman Aligner has an active lingual coil that is conjoined with an invisible retainer.

3. Clear Bow Inman Aligner -This has been designed to eliminate the wire on the front of the teeth completely thereby, achieving a look that is aesthetically pleasant.

4. White Bow Inman Aligner - The design conceals the wire while allowing the use of hard clear acrylic. Though this may not be as aesthetic as the Clear braces, it is less expensive.

Advantages of Inman Aligners

Earlier on, a person with crooked or misaligned teeth had limited options like fixed braces. These work well but take a long time in achieving the desired result. Inman Aligners are fast acting and take just about 6-16weeks to show results.
With advances happening in the field of dental practice, other sophisticated alternatives to braces have also come up like the clear brace. Though completely unobtrusive they take as long as traditional braces to make the correction and are very costly.

Inman Aligners are a brilliant option and work out to be far less expensive as the dental tray does not need changing frequently. Only one Aligner is required throughout the treatment.

Using Inman Aligners also saves tooth enamel. Getting porcelain veneers fitted usually means heavy grinding of teeth to get them into the right position first.
