
Stephen Dover qualified in both dentistry and medicine from the University of Birmingham. After general surgery training he completed specialist training in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 1996. Following cleft and craniofacial fellowships, he was appointed to a consultant post at the Queen Elizabeth and Birmingham Children’s Hospitals the same year. He specialises in the reconstruction and management of paediatric and adult facial deformity and is a former clinical lead of the West Midlands supra-regional craniofacial service.
Stephen has been placing dental implants since 1986 and undertakes all the surgical aspects of implantology including bone grafting, implant placement and revision surgery. He was one of the first two UK fellows of the International Team for Implantology. He has lectured, published, and examined at national and international level on the subject. He works closely with dental colleagues to develop treatment plans that meet each individual patient's needs.
